I regret to inform you that a devoted Brother of Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge has passed away. Brother Richard J. Cocchia, Sr. of West Palm Beach passed away on July 11, 2010. For any that wish to pay their respects to Richard and support his friends and family, there will be a viewing tomorrow - Friday, July 16, 2010 - at 6:30pm. The viewing is at the Scottish Rites, 2000 North D Street, in Lake Worth.

Richard was very proud to be a member of the Order of the Arrow, and he will be placed in his Class A uniform for the viewing.

We would also like to welcome our new lodge advisor Mr. Arnold and also the newly elected members of the Lodge Executive Committee. You will be hearing more from them in the coming weeks as they prepare to lead our Lodge to new heights and show why we are the Best All Around Lodge!

In addition the entire Summer Camp Staff would also like to thank everyone for their assistance in preparing the camp, but there is still more work to be done. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping prepare the camp they would love to have you come out!

Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge

A few of you have been asking about the members area and how to get a log-in.  Well right now you don't get any log-in information as we are still cleaning up some of our mess in the members area to ensure everything works properly.  After all who wants to log-in to a big error message!

We hope to have the members area ready later this weekend at which point we will post regarding how to access the members section.  If you already have a log-in from our last system this will be recreated and you can reset your password to gain access.  If you didn't have a log-in with the last system it will take us an extra day or two so we can start processing your requests.

We are thrilled that everyone has been enjoying the new site and we look forward to finishing our work so you guys can get to enjoying all the benefits!  Thanks for your understanding.

So, before you run off and start looking for what hasn't changed here are a few of the things that have changed:

• Our new Mascot!  (Careful he bites!)
• Event Registration (Start the process at any hour)
• Update your Information (Got a new email address?  Address? Phone number?  Let the keeper of the records know!)
• A new and improved member section (There will be even more to come here...)
• A better website layout (It should be even easier to find stuff)
• A wider layout to show you even more information!
• A live RSS feed of the site news!
• And even more behind the scenes!

We are still fine tuning some of the aspects of the site so you might find a little dust from out work, but we are happy to offer a solid foundation for the rest of the changes that haven't been released.  Yes, there is more, but we need a few more days to get all the bugs worked out so you have a great experience.

We hope you enjoy the new site and all of its new features.

This individual should be considered dangerous as we are unsure of their intent.  Please be careful as you browse our site as the individual is still at large.  We could use your help over the next few weeks to watch for any signs of his activity.  These signs could be anything from relocating documents, changing the wording of pages, or even removing different sites.  We think he has access to the Gator Tales website as well so there is no telling what might happen...

We will do our best to ensure his effect is minimal, but there is no telling what might happen over the next week or two when we can finally get him locked out of the system!

Regardless of this individuals actions, the Section Seminars will go on as planned.

If you are wondering what kind of milestone I am talking about then you haven't seen our gallery.  We have collected over 10,000 pictures of lodge events from 1992 to current!  We are still working to collect more pictures from current and past events so if you have some old pictures or even some new pictures we would love to add them to our gallery.

As many of you are likely aware Hurricane Hanna is expected to hit over the weekend.  The Executive Board has determined that should we be under a Hurricane Warning on Friday 9/5, Council camps and Council / District activities will be cancelled for the weekend.

We will post more information as we get it.  You can also check the Council Website for additional information.
